Lovely house and view, deposit too high though!

The house and view was lovely and perfect for our family of 5. The owners were very welcoming and made a huge effort to make us welcome and provided nice extras along the way - breakfast, wine, gifts for the children. Fridge was well stocked on arrival.

Biggest problem for a UK guest was the amount of cash deposit required of 400EUR as this was only returned on last day we ended up taking it home unspent losing on the exchange rate - the owner needs to consider reducing this amount or allowing a deposit via credit card as this adds to the cost of the holiday for a UK visitor.

very complete little holiday home

Very complete little holiday home with very nice owners. The garden around the gite is very nice and private, especially when you have children. The only 'mistake' the owners made that they've made it overcomplete. In the small bedrooms they managed to add 2 small desks as well, and the whole gite is decorated with all kinds of decorations which make the whole place a bit cramped. Some of the doors are very low, allthough the ceiling itself is - apart from one beam supporting the roof - plenty high enough. The surroundings are very nice, and baslieux sous chattilon is in a nice area relatively close to Epernay etc. To communicate with the owners, it is best to speak french, allthough they understand some english. Best to stay with 3 or 4 max, otherwise they gite is too small.

fantastic

just back from tingry, would return to this fantastic gite,furnished to a very high standard, very clean, great owners, very good ammenities inc, pool bbq dish washer etc, went with extended family, gated property so kids can round about without any worry!
