Description and location

Address and access information

La Ruisselière, a bed and breakfast, in the greenery and quiet of Provence, 15 kms from Toulon and its natural roadstead, ideally situated in the Gapeau valley, on the border between Green Provence and Mediterranean Provence, between Solliès-Toucas and Belgentier, near the Morières forest and the Siou-blanc plateau, places which are inviting for walks and excursions in an exceptional scenery, close to the Mediterranean beaches, the maginificent town of Hyères les Palmiers, its parks, its beaches, the departure port for the islands of Or, Porquerolles, Port-Cross and its national park, and the Levant, the sand beaches of the Lavandou, the picturesque village of Bormes les Mimosas and its old lanes, of Pierrefeu du Var and its vineyards, the charming village of Collobrières, the capital of chestnuts and the Massif des Maures, Toulon, its beautiful natural roadstead, the biggest in Europe, the D-Day Memorial in Provence on Mount Faron, its many museums.

Near La Ruisselière, you will be able to visit the nice village of Belgentier, its church dating back to 1616, decorated in an original way, its oil wheel and olive preserves, its restaurants, of Solliès Pont, the capital of figs, the picturesque village of Solliès Ville, the country of the poet Jean Aicard, its landscapes and the museum of the provençal clothes.

The Var (like most départements of the Mediterranean coast) is an important tourism destination. It is possible more specifically to visit the cellars and vineyards of Bandol, to see the villages high up of the Fayence area (Montauroux, Fayence, Callian, Seillans, Tourrettes, Saint-Paul-en-Forêt, Mons, Tanneron), go on an excursion in the massif de l’Esterel, go windsurfing on the Giens peninsula, or catch a boat for the Porquerolles island or the submarine natural park of the island of Port-Cros. The beach of Cavalaire-sur-Mer is also the longest sand beach of the coast.

The town of Saint-Tropez is also situated in the Var. The north of the department must not be forgotten either: the Haut-Var and its villages high up in the hills, with the majestic sites of the Gorges of the Verdon and the Lake of Sainte-Croix, or the south east with the Lake of Saint-Cassien
