Meeting people from all over the world is Catherine and Jean-Michel’s passion, since seven years, in their Norman “longère” under the big maple that gives the house name.

They like to make you discover the very often painted impressionist landscape, its variable colors in which their house is nested by the river Seine. Members of the “Cercle des Hôtes de l’Eure”, they make you explore the most beautiful sites of the historical Normandy, between Paris and Honfleur : calm and magic gardens, castles and abbeys, and obviously Giverny and Monet’s garden, Lyons-la-Forêt (village fleuri de France) and so on…classified places “patrimoine français”.

In this environment it is very nice to :

- share a “table d’Hôtes” under the Erablière’s bower during a Catherine’s market of the day dinner (29 euros per people), including four courses. Booking only.

- chat, discuss about travels, meetings…and then see you later elsewhere.

- make a cruise on the river Seine from the Erablière’s pontoon for a 1h30 delighted promenade along the white cliffs, Chateau Gaillard, talking about legends, birds, history from these panoramic lands, sip a glass of norman cider on board and immortalize this moment. Romantic stay :

For a wedding night, an anniversary (feast or marriage day topic, honey moon, mother’s day…One of the two bedrooms of the Erablière “The Hydrangeas” or “the Daffodils” become a romantic and private place for a while decorated and flowered in the colors of the event (or the colors and thema of the bride’s dress), it is tidy organized to receive you with particular attentions, such as a bottle of Champagne and a little titbits buffet served in a pretty crockery (night and day as you like). This is an everlasting gift ! You can complete this “romantic escapade” by sharing a “Table d’Hôtes” with us at dinner time : a market of the day meal under the bower on the terrace (if weather permits), on a table decorated in the menu topic ; or going on the romantic magic by cruising on the river Seine from the private pontoon of the Erablière, siping a glass to discover these panoramic lands painted by the Impressionnists. Concerning all these events very particular, please call us, we will help you to create an exceptional day.

Typical ambience room :

The Erablière, charming norman “longère” is nested along the river Seine in the Tosny pretty village, beside Chateau Gaillard (Les Andelys), twenty kilometers away from Giverny, in the middle of the most important buckle of the river, now classified historical, “Grand site de France”, in a absolute calm verdure plentyful of birds. Catherine and Jean-Michel, members of the”Hosts of Eure Circle” guide you towards the most beautiful sites to discover in this historical Normandy settled, half way from Paris to Honfleur : calm and fairy gardens, castles and abbeys and also Chateau gaillard, Giverny (Monet’s house and garden), Lyons-la-Forêt (labelled flowered village of france) and so on…nationaly patrimony places. Other secrets, not very well known, will be progressively unveiled : where to go and drink a delicious hot chocolat, where to go and have a dinner all alone at the best table, where to hunt a bric a brac and find this little souvenir to live with. To finish these days full of delights, what more pleasant than sharing a dinner under the bower of the Erablière, with a Catherine’s market of the day meal !

Arts and crafts :

Catherine, interior decorator and textiles items creator for settings offer in her workshop, inside her guests house, a labelled unique pieces collection cash and carry : plaids, table clothes, cushions and so on…real textile signature, at discount rates, specific for a personal décor. On demand, you can get what you dream of: curtains, bedspreads and so on… Opening, this year, deco-class, 4 people maximum each session, to learn how to decorate by yourself : “The five keys to success in deco”, during two or four three hours sessions, at the Erablière, including two nights in her guests house. You wish to renovate a room or an other room, and you leave with you your project ready-made, easy to do being sure not to make faults during achievement and for purchase.
